FA Cup third round recap

The biggest game of the weekend saw Liverpool defeat cup rivals Arsenal 2-0. The Gunners were punished for their incompetent finishing as Jurgen Klopp’s side progress.

The biggest shock result saw National League South side Maidstone United defeat League One Stevenage.

Kevin De Bruyne returned for Manchester City and grabbed an assist as City thrashed Huddersfield 5-0.

Newcastle overcame their old rivals Sunderland. Their 3-0 win was their first Tyne-Wear derby win since 2011.
