Aberdeen have announced their price for Cape Verde striker, Duk. This is after recent Everton transfer news suggests they’re interested in the forward.

The Scottish side signed Duk from Benfica B last summer and the Portuguese man has been in fine form. Playing as a number nine or on the left-wing, he’s bagged 16 goals and two assists. These goals have caught the eye of a few managers, including Sean Dyche.

Because of this solid first season and recent interest, Aberdeen have priced the forward at £6.5 million. Aberdeen wouldn’t see all this money as Benfica will receive 50% of a deal done for Duk.

Everton are in need of attacking reinforcement with Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling to stay fit and Neil Maupay’s future in doubt.

Everton Transfer News: Duk A Risk Or A Smart Move?

Duk is still a young man. At just 23-years-old, this season has been his first real season after two years playing for Benfica B.

Despite this lack of experience, he hasn’t shown any signs of rustiness for Aberdeen. The striker has pace and strength, as well as great attacking intelligence.

However, the question is if Dyche is willing to take a risk on an inexperienced striker if they stay in the Premier League. If the Toffees drop down to the Championship, Dyche might be more inclined to risk signing the Cape Verde forward.

They aren’t the only English team interested in the striker. Premier League bound Burnley are another team looking at Duk.

Despite the interest, Duk isn’t guaranteed to leave. He’s enjoying his time in Scotland and the team are set to qualify for the Europa Conference League at the bare minimum, with the Europa League still a possibility.

He’ll have a big decision to make this summer if the Everton transfer news is anything to go by.
