Wantaway Everton winger Demarai Gray looks to have finally secured a transfer away from Goodison Park, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Saudi side Al-Ettifaq have agreed a £10million fee for the Jamaican.

Following his public fallout with Sean Dyche later last week, Demarai Gray looks to have finally secured a move away from Everton.

The Jamaica international has been linked with a move away throughout the window, but after failing to secure a move on deadline day – he released a statement claiming that it’s ‘difficult to play for someone who don’t show you respect’, seemingly taking a swipe at Toffees boss Dyche.

Dyche responded by revealing that Gray had refused to take part in Everton training in an attempt to force a move away, with Fabrizio Romano now reporting that his switch to Saudi side Al-Ettifaq is all but confirmed thanks to their transfer window remaining open until Thursday.

“Demarai Gray to Al Ettifaq, here we go! Deal agreed for $10m fee on permanent transfer — it will be signed today,” Romano tweeted on Wednesday.

“Everton have approved the deal, Gray will sign four year contract until 2027 and he already completed medical tests. Done, sealed.”

Gray’s departure looks set to end a two-year association with Merseyside club, having joined from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen back in 2021.

It brings a sour end to his spell at Goodison, having previously been one of their top performers when fit and firing.

He becomes the 13th player to exit under Dyche this summer, following the likes of Alex Iwobi, Neal Maupay, Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate out the door.
