Manchester City striker Erling Haaland accumulated an xG of 0.00 in his side’s 1-0 defeat by Arsenal on Super Sunday.
Haaland struggled throughout the encounter at the Emirates, failing to record a single shot which marked his third straight game without a goal involvement.
This is just the second time Haaland hasn’t had at least one shot in the Premier League and he looks to be missing Kevin De Bruyne’s presence on the field.
That feat could be seen as normal for other players, but considering the Norwegian’s prolific nature in front of goal it might be fair to say he’s hit a dry patch.
Arsenal centre-back William Saliba did one hell of a job keeping him quiet. The Frenchman won 100% of his duels, completed 97% of his passes, did not commit a single foul and wasn’t dribbled past once.
Erling Haaland accumulated 0.00(xG) against Arsenal this evening.

Despite the blank, Haaland continues to lead the league in goals scored this season with eight. He’s two clear in that department as well, with Heung-min Son and Alexander Isak closest with six.
Sunday’s result marked Arsenal’s first win against City in the league since December 2015 to join North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table with 20 points each.
Pep Guardiola’s side have lost consecutive outings in the English top-flight for the first time since 2018 following last week’s 2-1 defeat against Wolves.
City managed just four shots on goal in total, the fewest they’ve recorded in a Premier League game since April 2010 – also against Arsenal.
Their last effort came in the 58th minute, which will assumedly leave Guardiola furious and plenty to think about heading into the international break.
