Erling Haaland has become the quickest player in history to reach 50 Premier League goals, beating Andy Cole’s previous record of 65 games.
Haaland’s first-half strike for Manchester City against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon was his 50th in just 48 games.
It is the latest in a list of goalscoring records the Norwegian has smashed since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
His opener against Liverpool was his first against the Merseyside club, meaning Brentford are now the only club he has failed to score against in the Premier League.
