Eric Dier could be set for a reunion with former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho, as Roma may target the Spurs defender in the upcoming January transfer window.
Tottenham Transfer News
Eric Dier may be set for a reunion with former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho this season, as the out of favour Spurs star is targeted by Serie A side Roma.
The Spurs defender is yet to make an appearance under new boss Ange Postecoglou, after the manager brought in the likes of Micky van de Ven in the summer before this season to strengthen his defence.
Tottenham have been doing just fine without Dier though, as Postecoglou was named manager of the month in his first two months in charge of the Premier League leaders, after an unbeaten start to their campaign.
Mourinho managed Dier while he was in charge of Tottenham between 2019 and 2021, with the iconic boss using the veteran defender in the majority of his games in what was a fairly unsuccessful spell in the Premier League.
Now manager at Roma in Italy, Mourinho is reportedly interested in bringing Dier back into his side who have been been a mixed bag of results during their first eight games of the season.

Roma sit tenth in the table and although they have won their last two, there is still plenty of work that needs to be done for a side who are still improving this year.
Dier has made 360 appearances for Tottenham during his time at the club, but it seems he could be on his way out of the door as soon as January as Spurs look to get rid of some of their squad players.
