Eden Hazard, who announced his premature retirement from football on Tuesday, was always a larger than life character off the pitch. SportsLens odds compilers have priced up exclusive markets for what lies ahead for the Belgian.

  • Eden Hazard is 7/1 to backtrack on his decision to retire and return to football by 2025
  • Odds suggest an appearance on a reality TV show could be a likely next step for Hazard at 4/1

  • To come out of retirement by 2025 – 7/1
  • To join the Chelsea coaching staff by 2025 – 16/1
  • To join the Belgium coaching staff by 2025 – 20/1
  • To appear on any reality TV show by 2025 – 4/1

Lee Astley, SportsLens‘ Head of News, said: “Eden Hazard’s off-field antics are well-documented.

“Sticking to training regimes and restrictive diets was never his thing, but that didn’t stop the Belgian from performing week-in, week-out.

“An injury-plagued spell at Real Madrid to round off his career ultimately saw him fall out of love for the game by the end, and although our odds compiler has priced a return to football at 7/1, we can’t envisage Hazard backtracking on his decision.

“Instead, as the odds suggest, some sort of role in the media or perhaps on a reality TV show seems to suit him more. The uncontrollable laughter at Branislav Ivanovic’s English, or him interviewing teammates Willian and Diego Costa have gone down in football folklore. He is destined for the screen.

“He is also cherished by fans at Chelsea and in his native Belgium. He doesn’t strike us as the type to take up a coaching role, but he certainly does possess that larger than life quality that could end up proving many wrong.”
