Ebor Festival York Racing Results on Friday 25th August 2023 – Live In The Dream Shocks World with Nunthorpe Triumph
A first Group 1 success for trainer Adam West and apprentice jockey Sean Kirrane saw Live In The Dream scorch the Knavesmire turf and win the 5f Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes in 56.78 seconds. That fast time from the front was too pacey for last year’s winner Highfield Princess, who had to settle for second.

Marhaba The Champ Wins on Kavesmire Again in Opener
After a victory at York races earlier in the season during the Dante Festival, Marhaba The Champ was at it again on his first start at 1m 4f in the Sky Bet Heritage Handicap. Coltrane Lands Lonsdale Cup for Murphy & Balding
Oisin Murphy piloted Coltrane to Group 2 success in the 2m Lonsdale Cup as there was no repeat of the Goodwood Cup when Quickthorn was given too much rope. Andrew Balding’s six-year-old Mastercraftsman gelding placed both there and during Royal Ascot, but added another Cup race to his CV following his win at Doncaster last autumn.
