Dominic Solanke Transfer Exclusive – Dominic Solanke is unlikely to agitate for a move away from Bournemouth, as Newcastle United start to show interest.
Dominic Solanke Transfer Exclusive
Magpies boss Eddie Howe knows Solanke from his time on the south coast and it is understood there is some exploration being made around the prospect of taking the striker up to Tyneside this summer.
There have been whispers that a move could open up after a season in which Solanke has scored an impressive 21 goals.
Yet the current feeling is that the forward is likely to spend one more season at the Vitality Stadium. Solanke has been thriving this season and has demonstrated that he is an elite Premier League striker.
Solanke came through the Chelsea Academy and then flopped at Liverpool, after a high-profile transfer that led to a return of just one goal from 27 appearances.
He moved to Bournemouth in 2019 for around £19million and the 26-year-old from man is now living up to the hype he built early in his career.
He is ambitious but sources are indicating they do not expect him to try to force any move away from Bournemouth this summer.
Additionally, there is a growing feeling that Newcastle could prioritise a right sided attacker in the next transfer window, rather than another striker.
The Magpies are likely to let Callum Wilson leave but are hopeful Alexander Isak will sign a new contract and remain at the club.
