Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, with the Dutchman being valued at £50m.

Mikel Arteta’s side have took the Premier League by storm this season, sitting top of the table with only eleven games left to play. The Spaniard has brought excitement back to the Emirates with his style of play and is already looking to bolster his squad for next year.

Similarly Erik ten Hag has revolutionised Manchester United since his appointment last year, winning United’s first piece of silverware in six years. Key signings have played a huge part in the Reds’ success, most notably through the additions of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez.

With both managers showing huge talent in spotting talent it’s no surprise that Inter defender Denzel Dumfries is high on their lists. The full-back has made 76 appearances for the Italian giants, contributing to 20 goals in the process.

The 26-year-old showed his quality for Netherlands with a superb display in the Qatar World Cup. Showing why the Red half of both London and Manchester are reportedly willing to battle it out for his services. His attacking prowess makes him a threat going forward, whilst also being solid defensively.

Arteta has utilised Ben White as a makeshift right-back, given the Englishman is naturally more suited to a central role. On the other hand, ten Hag has switched between Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bisakka, as neither player has cemented their place in the team.

With both managers failing to select a regular option for the position, the signing of Dumfries could be beneficial for either party. The Serie A star may be more familiar with the Manchester United manager but the recent form of Arteta’s side could see him move to the capital.
