David Moyes has seen his chances of being sacked increase, after West Ham were beaten 4-3 by an industrious Crystal Palace side in today’s early kick-off.
- The visitors got off to an electric start as Tomas Soucek was the quickest to react from a corner kick.
- Palace levelled proceedings moments later, as Michael Olise’s cute through ball found Jordan Ayew, who finished calmly into the bottom-right corner.
- The hosts doubled their lead through the returning Wilfried Zaha, who’s improvised finish flew into the top corner.
- Things went from bad to worse for Moyes’ side as Soucek’s blunder allowed Jeffrey Schlupp to make it 3-1 to the Eagles.
- West Ham cut the deficit to one just before the break, from another corner, as Michail Antonio capitalised on Soucek’s headed flick.
- Palace extended their lead mid-way through the second half, as Eberechi Eze converted from the spot after he was brought down by a Aguerd’s flailing arm.
- The match continued to entertain, due to the Hammers halving the deficit from a corner, once again. Aguerd redeemed himself with a glancing header into the back of the net.
- Neither side failed to find the net again, giving Crystal Palace all three points and David Moyes’ future remains in doubt.

Will David Moyes Be Sacked?
Prior to today’s result, Moyes’ side had been on a strong run of form – picking up points against, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Fulham. The Scottish manager had stopped talks over a possible sacking, but this afternoon’s defeat to Crystal Palace may reignite this rumours.
Supporters have been very vocal about their thoughts on the former Everton coach, with success in the Europa Conference League being pivotal in remaining at West Ham.
The Hammers will take on Manchester United in their next Premier League fixture, with the Red Devils looking to secure their place in the Top Four. Moyes will be hoping for a victory over the side he managed back in the 2013-14 season.
It is still unlikely for the Scotsman to be sacked, with the Hammers superb form in Europe. However, if result’s dwindle then we may see his time in east London come to an end.
David Moyes Sack Odds: 25/1
