Liverpool head to the capital to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League‘s gameweek 16 opener at 12:30 on Saturday, with the Reds coming into the clash off the back of a 2-0 win over Sheffield United in midweek.
It wasn’t pretty, but goals from Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai either side of the half-time whistle were enough to secure the three points, seeing Jurgen Klopp‘s side keep the pressure on the league leaders.
The Merseyside club are now second in the English top flight table, just two points behind the leading Arsenal, meanwhile Crystal Palace occupy 14th place after failing to win any of their last four matches.
Roy Hodgson’s side were beaten 2-0 by an in-form Bournemouth side on Wednesday night, and prior to that they played out a stalemate with West Ham and fell to disappointing defeats against Luton and Everton.
