Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic will travel to Italy this week to undergo a medical in order to complete his move to AC Milan on a permanent basis, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

London-club Chelsea look set for another departure from the squad this week, with Christian Pulisic now just needing to complete a medical to ensure his exit.

This comes from Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the United States international will be in Italy this week to undergo a medical with AC Milan.

According to the football transfer expert, documents are already in place between the Blues and Milan, with Pulisic set to sign on terms until June 2027.

Romano revealed the latest on Pulisic’s exit on his social media channels on Monday morning.

“Christian Pulisic will be in Italy this week to undergo medical tests and sign in as new AC Milan player on permanent deal from Chelsea.” he tweeted.

“Documents already in place between clubs, Pulisic will sign contract valid until June 2027.”

Pulisic made his move to Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund back in 2019 for an estimated fee of £58million – making him the most expensive American player of all time.

Despite showing clear promise at times, his spell in London was mostly a disappointment.

And now, after scoring 26 times in 145 appearances for the club, he looks set to join a long-list of players leaving on a permanent basis this window.

Their list of departures is comprised by the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Edouard Mendy and Mason Mount, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to completely overhaul the squad ahead of the new campaign.
