In tonight’s Champions League fixture Chelsea travel to Germany to face Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for the first time in history.
Chelsea will be looking to use the Champions League as a distraction from their current Premier League form. The Blues are currently in 10th place and have spent north of £5oom since Todd Boehly’s takeover last summer.
Dortmund are having a slightly better time in the Bundesliga as they sit in third place and are only three points behind their fierce rivals, Bayern Munich. However their transfer business is far less boastful than their Champions League opponents, with summer signing Sebastian Haller being their second most expensive signing at £29m.
