Chelsea are drawing up alternate transfer plans incase Paris Saint-Germain destroy their dreams of landing Napoli marksman Victor Osimhen in the summer.

PSG Eye Long-Term Chelsea Target Osimhen

PSG are being linked with last year’s Serie A top goalscorer as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has told the club that he is leaving at the end of the season.

It is expected that Mbappe will join Real Madrid, and Chelsea will feel the impact of that move if the Paris club decide to go all-out for Osimhen.

Members of the Blues’ board are confident that Osimhen wants to play in the Premier League and is satisfied by the project vision at Stamford Bridge.

The club have fallen away from the footballing elite in the past two seasons though, and PSG can offer Champions League football as well as an immediate challenge for trophies.

Chelsea will continue to strive for a deal to land the Nigeria international, but have always intended to look at other names in the event that they need an alternate plan.

Chelsea Target Toney, Ferguson & Sesko

Brentford’s Ivan Toney is the one most talked about within the Premier League, but there is also the option of Evan Ferguson.

The Blues have been no strangers in dealing with Brighton as of late, with the likes of Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez and Graham Potter arriving from the south coast club in recent years, and they are intrigued by the quality of the 19-year-old Republic of Ireland international.

However, Ferguson is valued by the Seagulls at close to £100million. If Chelsea aren’t willing to splash that much cash though, there are cheaper options that they can consider.

Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig is interested in moving to the Premier League and has also been checked out by Manchester United and Newcastle United.

The Blues have already been keeping a keen eye on him across the season, and it is understood that his release clause would allow him to move for less than £45million. He is described as a “serious option” by insiders if the Osimhen deal does not work out.

Toney remains a target, but at this stage Arsenal are considered to be his most likely landing spot.
