Chelsea are looking to offload Albania international Armando Broja this week, to then replace him with a new striker as we head into the final days of the transfer window.

Blues Look To Offload Broja

Broja has been linked with a £25million move to Fulham this month, and while sources are currently playing that prospect down, there is a desire to spark conversations and move him on this week.

The Blues are open to buyers – and new developments suggest that Aston Villa are joining the line of potential suitors for the 22-year-old forward at a time when they are also continuing to progress on a deal to sign Middlesbrough’s Morgan Rogers.

It means Wolves, Fulham, and Villa are active in the pursuit, but other clubs are well aware of the fact Chelsea are looking to sell him. West Ham are one of the clubs that could yet become an option too, however the West London-club’s valuation of Broja makes a transfer difficult.

They have him valued at around £50million, but so far there is no club willing to commit to that sort of outlay for a striker who has scored just three goals in his last 37 outings over the last couple of seasons.

The most likely notion in this window is that Broja will initially be loaned out with a purchase agreement for the summer. That option would be needed so that Chelsea can bring in a new forward.

Chelsea Eye Duran, Wilson, Benzema & Osimhen

Chelsea have already looked into a deal for Jhon Duran, which adds another layer to the understanding of how Villa’s interest in Broja might have opened up, but they also have eyes on other openings like the ones we have seen recently over Callum Wilson at Newcastle and Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad.

As we have reported on SportsLens previously, any deal now would need to be a short-term one in line with the fact they plan to go big on a deal for Napoli and Nigeria marksman Victor Osimhen in the summer.
