Chelsea are reportedly set to swoop for Lyon’s 19-year-old French talent Rayan Cherki as they look to replace AC Milan-bound Christian Pulisic.

Premier League big spenders Chelsea are set to make a bid for Lyon and French youth forward Rayan Cherki as they seek a replacement for Christian Pulisic, according to reports.

Pulisic has arrived in Milan ahead of his prospective move to the Rossoneri, and is set to be unveiled as a new player for the Serie A side later today.

And amid his Stamford Bridge departure, ESPN report that the Blues are keen on acquiring Cherki in his place.

Talented Montpellier forward Elye Wahi is also on the London club’s shortlist, with the Ligue 1 side looking for a reported €30million to part ways with their star man.

Cherki came through the academy ranks at Lyon and has been a regular in their senior squad since the age of 16.

The 19-year-old is the youngest player to ever score a senior goal for the club, and holds the record for the youngest player ever to feature in a Champions League semi-final.

Having been tipped for greatness for several years, Les Gones reportedly value their wonderkid at around €40million, as he remains under contract until June 2025.

Paris Saint-Germain tried to move for the Frenchman in January, however Lyon rejected their advances despite their Financial Fair Play troubles.

However, it could be an entirely different story with Chelsea – who have already conducted business with Lyon over the past 12 months.

Malo Gusto made the switch to the Bridge in January, and now, could Cherki be set to follow in his footsteps by swapping Lyon for London?
