Amid his uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium, Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer in their search for attacking reinforcements.
Cole Palmer could be the next player on the way out of the Etihad, as Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for the 21-year-old.
The Manchester City youngster has been linked with the likes of Brighton, Burnley and Leicester throughout the window, but the big-spending Blues are now said to be interested.
This comes from Fabrizio Romano, who reports that the forward has been added to Chelsea’s list of talented attacking talents, and are set to open talks over a move imminently.
Palmer has made it clear that he wants to be playing consistent football, however City’s stance on his exit remains unknown at this time.
“Chelsea add Cole Palmer to list of talented offensive players being considered for final addition!” Romano tweeted.
“Chelsea are set to open talks soon as they see Palmer as best solution. It remains to be seen Man City position on Palmer but Chelsea really want him.”

Palmer has turned out on three occasions for City thus far this term, scoring in both the Community Shield versus Arsenal, and in the Super Cup against Sevilla.
After bagging the winner in the Super Cup, Palmer admitted that he didn’t know what his future holds, and that he just wants ‘to play football’.
If a move to Stamford Bridge materialised, the Wythenshawe-born youngster would become the 11th major signing for Chelsea this summer.
He would follow the likes of Angelo, Deivid Washington, Djordje Petrovic, Robert Sanchez, Lesley Ugochukwu, Nicolas Jackson, Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo through the door, and would almost certainly take Chelsea’s summer spend beyond £400million.
