Chelsea have reportedly made a huge offer for Crystal Palace winger, Michael Olise, as the Frenchman looks set to leave the Eagles this summer.

The Blues are moving a step closer to the signature of Michael Olise, after agreeing personal terms with the Palace star. A deal could be agreed in the coming days as the 21-year-old has a release clause at around £35m.

Olise had a respectable campaign during the 2022-23 season, contributing to 13 goals and being a pivotal member during Roy Hodgson’s return.

The veteran manager has been confirmed as the man to guide the club through the Premier League next season and has already seen a huge change at Selhurst Park – as Wilfried Zaha has joined Galatasaray.

The Ivorian’s departure has been expected over recent months, due to his contract at the club coming to an end. His exit could be the catalyst in Olise’s imminent transfer and according to reports, the Frenchman is set to join Chelsea despite their disappointing campaign.

The Blues had a catastrophic campaign, as they finished 12th in the Premier League and recorded the lowest points tally in the club’s history.

Former Brighton manager, Graham Potter, was hired in September and was sacked after just six-months following a poor run of results.

His replacement, Frank Lampard, was unable to improve life at Stamford Bridge and the Blues ended the season without a single victory over any side in the top six.

This poor performance has made summer signings a priority, as Chelsea are reportedly set to continue their huge spending that saw them bring in over £500m worth of players in the last two windows.

Being the biggest spenders over recent windows may be pivotal when agreeing a deal for Olise, as the youngster has three-years remaining on his current deal at Selhurst Park – making his £35m release clause an intriguing prospect.
