According to UK betting sites, Chelsea are front-runners to sign Napoli superstar, Victor Osimhen, as the Nigerian looks set to leave the Italian side this summer.
Napoli secured a league title for the first time in over 30 years, as they stormed their way to the top of Serie A. Winning today would see the club finish 16 points ahead of Lazio in second place and top-off a historic campaign.
The side from Naples have dominated over the course of this season and the attacking partnership of, Victor Osimhen and Khivcha Kvaratskhelia, was a huge catalyst for the club’s success.
Since signing from Lille in 2020, Osimhen has made 100 appearances – scoring 58 goals in the process and is now one of the most sought after strikers in world football.
According to UK betting sites, Chelsea are leading the race to sign the Nigerian international – despite interest from Premier League rivals, Manchester United.

Chelsea will be looking to invest this summer after recording their worst finish in a Premier League season, which saw Graham Potter be dismissed after seven months in charge.
His replacement, Frank Lampard, failed to turn things around on his return to the club and the Blues ended the season in 12th place.
This poor display has made summer additions a priority, as Todd Boehly is expected to continue the spending-spree that saw Chelsea break the British transfer record – signing Enzo Fernandez for £103m.
A deal to land the Napoli marksman could cost up to £150m, as the 24-year-old’s contract is not set to expire until 2025.
Manchester United are also in contention to land the former Lille striker, however, the Red Devils are reportedly favouring a move for Harry Kane.
