Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea side have missed the most big chances in the Premier League this season, as the search for a new striker continues.
Chelsea’s Premier League Season
Currently sat 9th in the Premier League table, Chelsea have had an up-and-down campaign so far.
While performances have improved from last season, the Blues have struggled to put together any significant run of form.
This is largely down to their inability to put the ball in the back of the net, despite investing heavily in their attacking options since Todd Boehly’s purchase of the club in 2022.

Chelsea Attacking Woes
In an attempt to remedy their attacking woes from last campaign, Chelsea acquired Nicolas Jackson from Villareal for £32m and Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig for £51m.
However, Nkunku picked up a hip injury in preseason which kept him of out first-team action until January, while Jackson has struggled to notch consistently.
In addition to this, Chelsea’s other forward options, including Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Armando Broja and Noni Madueke have all failed to contribute enough going forward for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
On the other hand, new signing Cole Palmer has been a revelation for the Blues this season, scoring 11 goals and notching 7 assists in 25 appearances, undeterred by his teammate’s impotence in front of goal.
Despite Palmer’s best efforts, Chelsea have officially missed the most big chances in the Premier League this season, joint with Liverpool, on 41.
