Celtic came into the match after picking up just one-point from the opening five fixtures and had no chance of qualifying for the round of 16.
The Scottish side had not won a Champions League match since 2017 and started the match superbly, creating a host of chances.
Celtic were rewarded in the 33rd minute, as Luis Palma converted from the penalty-spot after Ramiz Zerrouki’s foul in the area.
The Dutch side failed to impose their game plan for the remainder of the half and Celtic went into the break with a one goal lead.
Feyernoord goalkeeper, Justin Bijlow, produced a superb save moments into the second-half, stopping Palma from securing a brace.
However, the Dutch side found an equaliser in the 82nd minute, as Newcastle loanee Yankuba Minteh pounced on a loose ball and rounded the keeper before slotting the ball home.
Gustaf Lagerbielke secured Celtic’s first of the Champions League in the 91st minute, heading the ball into the top-right corner.
The Scottish side were defensively sound for the remainder of the match and held on to a 3-2 victory, ending a run of 16 matches without a win.
