Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to make a huge career change by taking the reigns at five-time World Cup winners Brazil, according to reports.
The former Chelsea manager has had a successful time in Madrid, winning the La Liga and Champions League double last season. However, according to reports in Spain, the 63-year-old is looking to leave Madrid at the end of the season and take over from the recently axed Tite at Brazil.
Ancelotti’s contract for Los Blancos runs out in June 2024, meaning neither party can confirm the switch. Brazil underachieved in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, getting knocked-out by a resilient Croatia side in the quarter final. This brought Tite’s six-year reign to an end and left Brazil looking for suitable replacements.

Real Madrid are having a steady season, as they currently sit second in La Liga and are 5/1 to retain their title, according to UK betting sites. Alongside this they are still in the running to win consecutive Champions League trophies, as they face Liverpool in the round of 16.
The Italian’s only previous experience as a coach for an international side was when he took up the assistant manager role for Italy from 1992 to 1995. Since then he has gone on to win a first-division title in England, France, Spain, Germany and Italy, as well as four Champions League trophies.
