Check out everything you need to know about the Carabao Cup 2024 prize money ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool’s final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea and Liverpool will fight it out for the first trophy of the season on Sunday afternoon as they meet in the Carabao Cup final. It’s the third time in two years that the sides have met in a major final, with the last two ending in a penalty shoot-out.
It’s a huge occasion for both parties. The Blues could secure European qualification with a victory, which is unlikely to be achieved through the Premier League after another poor campaign. If Chelsea are successful on Sunday, they would be qualify for the Europa Conference League for the first time.
As for Liverpool, they are looking to end the Jurgen Klopp era with as many trophies as possible, as the German it set to leave at the end of the season.
Carabao Cup 2024 Prize Money – How Much Will The Winners Get?
The Carabao Cup 2024 prize money is not as much as some people may think. Whichever team wins Sunday’s final will get just £100,000, with the losers also pocketing £50,000.
This is much less than what teams would get for winning the FA Cup, with Manchester City taking home £2million last season when beating local rivals Manchester United 2-1.
It’s also nowhere near the scale of what a club would get for winning the Champions League. Using the Cityzens as an example again, they pocketed a huge £17million for beating Inter Milan in last year’s final.
