De Zerbi ‘They are still Ajax’

Brighton face Ajax at a good time. The Dutch club are in the relegation zone and lost manager Maurice Steijn this week. Steijn left by mutual consent after a poor run of form.

“Ajax are in not a very good moment but they are still Ajax,

“The history of the club is incredible and unbelievable, and we expect a lot from them.

“But we are Brighton and when we play in a good way, what we’re able to do, I think we have a chance to win the game.”

Brighton team news

Brighton do have some injury concerns going into this crucial match day three in the Europa League.

Solly March and Danny Welbeck join Julio Enciso, Jakub Moder, Pervis Estupinan and Tariq Lamptey on the sidelines.

Speaking about his two new injured players, De Zerbi said:

“Unfortunately, it’s a very tough injury [for March]. We lose him for a long time and Danny Welbeck the same,

“It’s not my job to inform you about the injury, I know we’ve lost an important player for a long time but I don’t want to cry because sometimes managers do when they lose players.”
