Brentford’s 2022/23 campaign impressed the masses, as they finished two points shy of European football in ninth place. The 2023/24 Brentford Premier League fixtures have been released this morning, as Thomas Frank’s side will have to make do without star-man Ivan Toney for a large chunk of the season.
Thomas Frank’s Bees enjoyed another season in the English top-flight last term, and even completed the double over treble winners Manchester City.
Brentford spent almost the entire season in the top half, finishing in ninth, one point behind Tottenham in eighth place and two points behind Aston Villa in seventh – narrowly missing out on European qualification.
After last season’s chaotic schedule with the World Cup squashed half way through the season, the schedule returns to its usual format, except for the introduction of a winter break.
Like many top European leagues, the Premier League will now have a week long break in the winter to give players a rest due to the jam-packed schedules throughout the term, which will take place between January 13th-20th.
Aside from those minor changes in the winter, the traditional late summer start date around mid-August remains the same, with Brentford’s opening fixture at home against Tottenham.
The Bees’ final day fixture against Newcastle is scheduled for 19th May, 2024.
