According to reports, Brentford are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace defender, Joachim Andersen, despite Newcastle showing heavy interest.

The Bees are set to bokster their squad this summer, after an impressive campaign in the Premier League and the Palace defender has caught the attention of Thomas Frank.

Making 72 appearances for the Eagles, Andersen has become a fan favourite at Selhurst Park and was key in Roy Hodgson’s second spell at the club.

Palace are set to lose some key players this summer, as the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Michael Olise have been linked with Europe’s top sides.

Losing Andersen would leave a huge hole in the heat of Palace’s defence and Brentford will need to pay £35m to land the Norwegians signature.

The Bees are not the only side that are keen on the Crystal Palace stalwart and will face competition from Premier League high-flyers, Newcastle United.
