Bournemouth have reportedly triggered the ‘£20m’ release clause of Leeds midfielder, Tyler Adams, after his move to Chelsea fell-through.
Bournemouth, according to Fabrizio Romano, have triggered Tyler Adams’ release clause and the American is set to complete a medical in the coming days.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had agreed a deal in principle to sign the Leeds midfielder, after triggering his £20m release clause.
However, after Brighton accepted an £115m bid for Moises Caicedo from the Blues, despite rejecting three separate bids from Chelsea, the club are not in the hunt for the American midfielder.
Reports also indicate that Chelsea are also signing Romeo Lavia, as Todd Boehly is said to be keen on matching or beating Liverpool’s world record bid.
Bournemouth looked impressive in their opening day draw against West Ham and could improve their side with the addition of Tyler Adams.

After his time in the MLS for New York Red Bulls, Adams signed for Bundesliga giants, RB Leipzig and contributed to six goals in 103 matches.
The 24-year-old cemented himself as one of the brightest prospects in Europe and was now a regular in the exciting USNMT squad.
In the summer of 2022, Adams signed for Leeds United and was expected to impress in England’s top-flight, however his first season did not go according to plan and the Whites were relegated from the Premier League.
The former Leipzig midfielder still has several years remaining on his current contract, but, with a release clause of £20m a deal could be easy to finalise.
Bournemouth face Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture, as the Cherries travel to Anfield in hopes of improving on the 9-0 defeat they suffered in their last visit to the red side of Merseyside.
