Nottingham Forest will take comfort in their spirited comeback against Arsenal, which very nearly saw them claw back the unlikeliest of draws.
Considering eight of their nine wins came on home soil last season, the Forest faithful will be pleased to see their side back in the Midlands. They will not want to rely too heavily on their home form to keep them afloat after relegation edged a little too close for comfort, but Sheffield United face a tall order if they are to get a result here.
The Blades’ 1-0 defeat in their return to the top-flight doesn’t wholly paint the picture of what transpired last weekend, where Crystal Palace utterly dominated in every department.
Sheffield registered the second-lowest xG of the weekend and had just 32% possession on their home turf. With Forests’ strong home record at the forefront of our thinking, we can see the hosts keeping a clean sheet here.

If it hadn’t been for their 30 points at the City Ground, Forest would have almost certainly been condemned to relegation last season.
Managing to avoid defeat in 14 out of a possible 19 is a more than commendable record, placing them in the top half when isolating home form.
This is a bad omen for Sheffield United, who struggled to impose themselves against Palace even in front of their home fans.
It is hard to see anything other than a Nottingham Forest win here to get their season up and running.
