Brighton’s surge into the top six was perhaps the Premier League’s defining success story of last season, and the Seagulls are expected to rub shoulders with the elite once more. With a slew of incomings and outgoings this summer, it is worthwhile looking to see who are the best Brighton FPL players to pick for this coming season.
Best Brighton FPL Players
Pascal Gross (£6.5m)
Savvy FPL managers will know full well what Pascal Gross can bring to the table.
Despite the likes of now-Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister and Kaoru Mitoma receving the majority of plaudits last season, the German actually finished the year with the most FPL points of any Brighton player, and 15th in the overall standings.
His quiet consistency operating off the right-hand side saw him rack up a respectable amount of goal contributions, finding the net on nine occasions and setting up a further eight.
At £6.5m, he has proven a popular bargain selection, and a favourable start for the Seagulls – at home to Luton and then a trip to Wolves – should see him heavily involved.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m)
Brighton are seemingly littered with bargains ahead of the new campaign, with Kaoru Mitoma also handed a £6.5m price tag.
The Japanese livewire enjoyed a spectacular breakthrough year on the south coast last term, rounding off the season with seven goals and nine assists.
Although the points are spread a little thinner across Brighton’s front line, he proved to be a popular selection with just over 38% of FPL players including him their teams.
Again, their favourable start makes Mitoma a recommended pick.
Solly March (£6.5m)
Behind only to Gross in Brighton’s final FPL points standings, Solly March is another popular choice at this price point.
The 29-year-old is a nightmare proposition for defenders – his speed and incisive decision-making means he is incredibly hard to pick up, while his threat often goes undetected with the opposition focusing on other members of the Brighton frontline.
He clocked in with an equal share of seven goals and seven assists, which helped him rank 27th in the league overall for FPL points – for context, he was just 35 points off 10th-placed Ivan Toney.
He also had a higher xG and xA than teammate Mitoma at the close of play last season, so he is perhaps overlooked by many FPL managers.
Pervis Estupinan (£6.5m)
A product of Brighton’s outstanding scouting network in South America, Pervis Estupinan established himself as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League last year.
The Ecuadorian was pivotal in the Seagulls’ commendable defensive record of 12 clean sheets, but his impact driving the team forward was where he really caught the eye – he chipped in with seven assists and a goal.
He also finished with 128 FPL points, putting him in the top 10 for defenders.

Joao Pedro (£5.5m)
We round off our pick of the best Brighton FPL players with the club’s new record signing.
Joao Pedro arrives from Watford having netted 11 times and setting up a further four in the Championship last year, and the 21-year-old holds bundles of potential.
His style should suit Roberto De Zebra’s high-pressing, full-throttle football, and at just £5.5m he could well turn out to be one of the bargains of the season.
There is an element of risk attached to his inclusion given the competition he faces for a starting spot, but he has impressed in pre-season and appears to have taken on the mantle of replacing Alexis Mac Allister on penalty duty, having scored both of his efforts.
