Aston Villa and Al-Nassr have both submit £43m bids to Bayer Leverkusen in the hopes of signing Moussa Diaby, but the German side are standing firm over their £52m valuation for the star.

Diaby has said that he wants to have his future resolved by the weekend and with multiple offers coming in for the French winger, he could have a new club by the end of the week.

Villa’s offer of £43m would break their current transfer record, but it still remains £11m short of Leverkusen’s valuation that stands at £52m.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al-Nassr have also made a bid for Diaby in the similar region, but Leverkusen are reluctant to let one of their best players leave for less than their price tag.

Diaby wants to resolve his future by the end of the week as Leverkusen begin their pre season tour in Austria this weekend, so it would be easier to resolve the 24-year-old’s future before then.

The Frenchman has been exceptional for Leverkusen since he joined from PSG four years ago and last season he recorded 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Diaby still has two more years left on his contract but despite Leverkusen’s hopes on keeping their star, he has openly stated his desire to play a higher level of football.

With Unai Emery at the helm Aston Villa became a serious force in the Premier League last season and they exceeded all expectations when finishing seventh, just outside Europa League qualification.

Villa will still play in the Europa Conference League next season, which could help convince Diaby to move to England this summer.
