Barcelona have reportedly agreed terms with Manchester City defender, Joao Cancelo, with the clubs now set to agree a transfer fee.
The Spanish giants, according to Fabrizio Romano, have been successful in their negotiations with the player and are keen to agree a fee with Pep Guardiola’s side.
The former Juventus player has made 154 appearances for the blue side of Manchester, winning three Premier League titles and two Carabao Cups.
However, despite picking up a Champions League and FA Cup winners medal last season, the Portuguese international was not part of the squad, as he signed for Bayern Munich on loan in January.
The 29-year-old had allegedly fallen out with the Manchester City manager, despite being one of City’s key players in their title-winning campaign in 2021-22. Meaning a move away from the club was required and a return next season looks doubtful.
Cancelo’s form in Germany was not enough to earn a permanent move to Munich and is now on the verge of a move to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona are planning to use the funds created from the imminent exit of Ousmane Dembele, who is set to join PSG for around £50m and will be keen to add the Portuguese star ahead of the new season.
After clinching the La Liga title with an eleven point lead, the Catalan side have demonstrated a huge progression at the club.
However, despite winning the league for the first time in almost five-years, Xavi’s side were underwhelming in European competitions and highlighted the need for summer signings.
Elimination from the Champions League group stages and Europa League round of 16 play-off, has reinforced the need for a host of signings this summer.
The Catalan side have already added Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu and Inigo Martinez, meaning Cancelo would be the fourth addition so far.
With four-years remaining on his current deal at the Etihad, Cancelo could cost up to £50m and the club’s are now agreeing an ‘appropriate’ structure.
