Former Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is a target for Premier League high-flyers Aston Villa this January.
Zaha In The Premier League
Wilfried Zaha spent just under a decade playing in the Premier League, making 305 appearances and scoring 68 goals across spells at Manchester United, Cardiff City and most notably Crystal Palace.
After struggling to make an impression at Manchester United after signing from Crystal Palace in 2013, Zaha was loaned to relegation-threatened Cardiff City, where he would also go on to fail to make an impact.
Zaha then went on to return to boyhood club Crystal Palace on loan, before making the switch permanent in 2015 where he would go on to spend the next 8 years of his career, becoming a bonafide Eagles legend in the process.
However, after years of rumours linking him with a move away from Crystal Palace and a self-admission that he would like to play Champions League football, the Ivory Coast international eventually ran down his contract at Palace, leaving to play for Turkish side Galatasaray in the summer of 2023.

Zaha To Join Aston Villa From Galatasaray?
Zaha has had an enjoyable start to life in Turkey, having contributed to 7 goals in 14 league games and is said to be content at Galatasaray.
However, according to FootballTransfers, Aston Villa are poised to make an approach for the former Palace man as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of a possible title charge.
Villa boss Unai Emery has been a longstanding admirer of Zaha and even tried to sign him in 2018 while he was managing Arsenal.
At the time Emery had this to say on Zaha: “I usually want to sign first the players I know there.
“When we played against Crystal Palace, Zaha showed he was a very good player.”
Aston Villa currently sit in second place in the Premier League, 3 points off top spot and 3 ahead of Tottenham in 5th place.
