Harvey Barnes looks like he’s on his way out of Leicester City. The latest Barnes next club odds suggest Aston Villa may be his next destination.

Leicester City’s recent relegation has sparked mass rumours about a lot of their players. One of those players is academy graduate Barnes.

Barnes broke into the team after impressing on loan at Barnsley and West Brom.

Since 2019/20 he has been a key part of the Leicester City team, making 187 appearances and scoring 45 goals. Barnes was part of the squad that famously won the FA Cup and Community Shield.

His performance’s at club level earned him an England call up, but he has only made one appearance for his national team.

Unfortunately, Barnes couldn’t help Leicester City maintain their Premier League.

Given his clear qualities it never seemed likely Barnes would stay and play in the Championship next season. But what do the Barnes next club odds look like?

Barnes Next Club: Aston Villa And Newcastle United Amongst Favourites

Aston Villa pipped Tottenham to a place in the Europa Conference League next season. That 7th place finish capped off what has been a fine season since Unai Emery took over at Villa Park.

Now with his first summer window ahead of him and rumours of a hefty transfer budget, Emery is looking to strengthen his squad.

It’s a move that would suit both player and team. Aston Villa play with two wide men supporting Ollie Watkins and Barnes plays his best when he’s part of a front three. He’d fit easily into a team that will be rotating regularly next season to compete in multiple competitions.

Former Aston Villa man Gabby Agbonlahor has pleaded with his old team to go out and sign him.

Barnes next club odds have Aston Villa at 5/4.

Another team that play with a front three is Newcastle United. The toon qualified for the Champions League next season after Eddie Howe turned the relegation threatened team into a European dreamer.

Howe has had help from the new owners. They spent big on the likes of Alexander Isak and look like they’ll be going again as they look to compete in Europe and England.

Newcastle United are priced at 4/1 to be Barnes’ next club.

Money won’t be an issue for either of these teams, but Barnes will have to consider his options carefully.

Other teams are keeping tabs on his future. Tottenham are 12/1 and Europa League bound Brighton are 25/1.
