Arsenal youngster, Folarin Balogun, is reportedly interested in a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea, as he looks to leave the Emirates this summer.

The USMNT striker has been linked with a move away from the Gunners over recent weeks and is now keen on switching north London for west London.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have sown interest in the youngster, after Christopher Nkunku’s recent injury will keep him out of action for an estimated 16 weeks.

Chelsea are not the only side that are entertaining the possibility of signing Balogun, as Inter Milan, Spurs and West Ham have all shown heavy interest.

A move for the Amercian forward could cost the Blues up to £40m, possibly rising as Arsenal may be unwilling to sell to their fierce rivals.

The Gunners have started the Premier League campaign strongly, winning both of their opening games against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace. As Mikel Arteta has opted to use Eddie Nketiah in the absence of Gabriel Jesus.

Balogun’s lack of game time has seen the American grow frustrated, as he had s superb 2022-23 campaign, which may be the reason a move to Chelsea has taken his fancy.

The 22-year-old impresses greatly during the 2022-23 campaign for Stade de Reims, scoring 22 goals and assisting 3 in just 39 appearances for Reims .

Those performances have caught the eye from top sides in Europe, however, Arsenal are yet to integrate the youngster into the first team set-up.

The Gunners have signed key players this summer, with Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, David Raya and Jurrien Timber all joining Mikel Arteta’s side.

Adding a host of players to the squad could see multiple departures in the coming weeks and the American youngster may be one of the potential exits.
