According to reports Arsenal will have to break their transfer record if they want to sign AC Milan defender, Theo Hernandez.

The Gunners are having their best season in almost twenty years, sitting top of the league with only 9 games left to play. Mikel Arteta has turned things around in a short amount of time and could become the first Arsenal manager not named Arsene Wenger to win the Premier League.

Manchester City are hot on their tails, sitting eight points behind with a game in hand and the two are set to meet on April 26th. If the Gunners can avoid any slip-ups then they should be in line for their first title since 2004.

One player that has been targeted by the Premier League leaders is AC Milan’s, Theo Hernandez. The Frenchman has caught the eye in Italy and according to Fabrizio Romano, would cost the Gunners ‘crazy money’.

Romano said: “Theo Hernandez is almost untouchable at this stage, Milan would not even consider €50m or €60m bids for him. Crucial player who could only leave for crazy money.”

Next season will be a huge campaign for the side from north London, as they are back in the Champions League after spending recent years in the Europa League. The UCL has escaped the Gunners in the past and summer signings will be crucial for their chances next year.

Arsenal could do with strengthening this summer, but the full-back position may not be prioritised after the superb form of Oleksandr Zinchenko, as well as the young Nuno Tavares, who is set to return from his loan at Marseille.
