SportsLens can exclusively reveal that Arsenal have declared their interest in signing Everton’s star midfielder Amadou Onana in the January transfer window.
Arsenal Interested In Onana
It’s no secret that Arsenal are on the look out for some reinforcements in January and sources close to SportsLens have confirmed the Gunners are casting an eye over Amadou Onana.
The Belgian international has been a standout performer for Sean Dyche’s side this season and naturally, the North Londoners are keen to acquire his services.
However, the Toffees will be looking for a hefty sum for the 22-year old which may put off Mikel Arteta from making a formal bid at this stage.
Zubimendi To Arsenal
Another Arsenal January transfer window target comes in the form of Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The Real Sociedad man is reported to have a very modest release clause built into his contract.
Therefore, a move this month is viable but Arteta will likely have to shift a few players off the payroll first to satisfy FFP rules.
Zubimendi is a defensive midfielder and has helped Sociedad to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages this season, as well as chipping in with four La Liga goals.
Douglas Luiz Next Club
Douglas Luiz’s next club is very much up for debate after his brilliant first half of the 2023/24 campaign for surprise Premier League title-challengers Aston Villa.
Arsenal have often been linked with a move for the Brazilian international but boss Unai Emery will be very reluctant to sell to a rival team, especially in January.
Also, Luiz would likely cost mega-money which will probably cool the Gunners interest in him to the end of the current season at least.
