According to UK betting sites, Arsenal are in the running to sign Leicester City star, James Maddison, despite Newcastle showing heavy interest in the England international.
Leicester City will face Championship football for the first time in just under a decade, after Dean Smith was unable to turn things around following Brendan Rodgers’ dismissal.
Despite the Foxes’ poor form, star man, James Maddison, was a stand-out performer throughout and contributed to 19 goals in 32 Premier League appearances.
The former Norwich City midfielder has established himself as one of the league’s best players and has earned a regular place in Gareth Southgate’s England side.
However, after the Foxes’ recent relegation, rumours over Maddison leaving the club this summer have started to circulate and has reportedly attracted interest from a host of Premier League sides.
Maddison’s Leicester teammate, Youri Tielemans, is also set to leave the club as his contract comes to an end and the Belgian has also caught the attention of Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal fans will look back at the 2022-23 season with mixed emotions, as the Gunners were in the first title race for the first time in almost a decade.
Arteta’s side were top of the table for the majority of the season, boasting an eight-point lead over Manchester City in February.
However, the Gunners were unable to hold onto pole position and draws against, Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton saw the club drop down to second place.
Champions League football will return to the Emirates for the first time in seven years, meaning a list of summer additions could be on joining the north London side.
Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and James Maddison, are just three from the host of players that could be joining the Gunners and the Leicester midfielder could be a direct replacement for the departing Granit Xhaka.
Arsenal will have to act swiftly in their approach for Maddison, as Newcastle are reportedly favourites to sign the 26-year-old this summer.
