New Liverpool manager Arne Slot is still yet to sign a player for the Reds this summer, but the Dutchman has assured fans that they will do some form of business before the new season.

Arne Slot Not Worried About Transfers

Liverpool have been the quietest Premier League club in the transfer window so far, as they are still yet to make a new signing with the season just a matter of weeks away.

Speaking in a press conference during Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States this week, Slot reassured concerned fans that the Reds would do some form of business this summer, despite no signings coming in yet.

“If there’s any news on that we will come to you,” Slot said.

“But we already have a very good team, where I am already really happy. It would be a surprise for all of us if we don’t bring any players in, so that will probably happen in the end. For now we are just waiting for the players to come back and waiting for the right ones to sign.”

Liverpool have reportedly made an offer for one player though, with rumours circulating about a £25million bid for Turkey nd Galatasaray striker Baris Yilmaz.

As for exits, there have been rumours that Trent Alexander-Arnold may leave Anfield this summer with a potential Real Madrid move on the cards for the full back.

In his other fullback position, Andy Robertson is nursing a knock that is expected to keep him out of action until the end of Liverpool’s pre-season tour and maybe into the new Premier League campaign.

“He took a small injury into the Euros and afterwards he had to recover from that after playing those games. But we will expect him back after our tour – but he joined us over here. I wouldn’t expect him to play in any of the games.”

Liverpool are unlikely to go all summer without picking up any new players and surely it is only a matter of time before the Reds make a move in the market with their first league game coming up on the 17th of August against newly promoted Ipswich Town.
