Andre Onana has reportedly finalised his contract details with Manchester United, as the Red Devils move one step closer to securing a David De Gea replacement this summer.

David De Gea left United last week after 12 years at the club, with the Spaniard departing Old Trafford on a free transfer after a season filled with criticism.

United have been chasing Onana’s signature all summer and it was common knowledge that he was one of their top targets this summer, regardless of De Gea’s status at the club.

Although Inter are yet to agree a fee with United for Onana, they managed to agree personal terms with the 27-year-old on Monday afternoon after a meeting with the goalkeeper.

The transfer fee is still a big problem for United, who reportedly have just over £100m to work with during the summer without the sale of any players.

With Mason Mount costing Erik Ten Hag £60m already, it seems the manager will need to shift some of his squad out the door to raise funds for the pricey Onana.

Inter remain firm with their £50m valuation for Onana this summer, which United are currently supposedly unable to pay for without breaching FFP rules.

United are considering the sale of at least four stars this summer, so it could only be a matter of time before they have the funds needed to bring in their new number one.

A formal bid in the region of £55m is expected to come from United in the coming days and it could even come as early as this evening.
