- Top 3 Saudi teams more equipped for title challenge than half of current Premier League
- Ronaldo’s Al Nassr would outperform Everton, Fulham and Wolves in EPL
If Saudi Pro League Teams Joined the Premier League Odds
Al-Ittihad
- Win the Title – 125/1
- Top 4 – 9/1
- Top 6 – 3/1
- Top Half – 3/10
- Relegation – 66/1
- Over/Under points total 54.5 – 10/11
- Closest Comparison – Aston Villa
- Star Players – Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante
Currently top of the Saudi Pro League, Al Ittihad are one of four teams in the division owned by the nation’s sovereign wealth fund.
They are as short as 3/1 to finish in the top six. Aston Villa are around 7/2 to do the same at the time of writing, so the odds suggest they would rival Unai Emery’s side for a European spot.
Although they find themselves in a good position in Saudi, their title odds of 125/1 places them alongside West Ham in the actual markets.

Al-Hilal
- Win the Title – 200/1
- Top 4 – 28/1
- Top 6 – 11/1
- Top Half – 6/5
- Relegation – 9/1
- Over/Under points total 51.5 – 10/11
- Closest Comparison – Brentford
- Star Players – Neymar and Aleksandar Mitrovic
Following closely in second place at the time of writing is Al-Hilal, who are the most decorated club in Asia boasting 66 honours.
They are slightly longer odds for a spot in the upper echelons of the table, but at 6/5 for a top-half finish they can be compared to the likes of Brentford, who have now established themselves as a solid upper top-flight team.
In terms of a top four finish, they are rated similar to the likes of West Ham, who are priced at 28/1 on most UK bookmakers.
Al-Nassr
- Win the Title – 500/1
- Top 4 – 66/1
- Top 6 – 28/1
- Top Half – 3/1
- Relegation – 7/2
- Over/Under points total 48.5 – 10/11
- Closest Comparison – Fulham
- Star Players – Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane
The odds suggest Al-Nassr would be one of those team in limbo between the bottom of the table and the edge of the top-half. A comparison with Fulham springs to mind, who are 9/2 to break into the top-half in 2023/24.
If they were to aim for loftier ambitions, the odds indicate they would have a similar chance to Crystal Palace of breaking into the top six, who are priced at anywhere between 24/1 and 30/1 according to the latest markets.
Lee Astley, SportsLens’ Head of News, said: “We explored the hypothetical scenario of Saudi teams joining the English Premier League.
“For this analysis, we focused on three teams: Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr. The Saudi Pro League has seen notable signings from top European leagues recently, with more expected. How would these teams fare in the Premier League?
“We pegged Al Nassr as similar to mid-table Fulham, while Al Hilal and Al Ittihad to European hopefuls Brentford and Aston Villa given the talent at their disposal. Although they’re aspiring clubs, removing foreign player restrictions could lead to success like Newcastle’s last season, breaking into the elite ranks for Champions League qualification.
“While financial regulations like FFP would apply, the potential outcomes are intriguing.”
