The 25 nominees have been confirmed for the 2023 Golden Boy award with some of Europe’s most exciting talents set to battle it out for the prestigious title.
25-Man 2023 Golden Boy Award Shortlist Revealed
This special award is given to the best player in Europe over the last 12 months who is under the age of 21. Barcelona youngster Gavi won it last year and is not eligible for it again this time around.
100 players were originally put up for the award, but that shortlist has now been cut down to 25 with the announcement of the winner expected in November ahead of the awards ceremony in Turin on December 4th.
The prestigious award was established by Italian newspaper Tuttosport all the way back in 2003, with this year’s edition marking the 20th anniversary.
