The dust has only just settled on the best jumps meeting of the year, but the Cheltenham tickets are already on sale for 2024 Festival.
Cheltenham Tickets Already Out For 2024
It was only three days ago that we saw the JP McManus-owned Iroko win the final race of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival. However, horse racing fans can already book their place at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival, with the Jockey Club track having already released their early ticket prices.
Having witnessed top wins at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival from the likes of Constitution Hill and Galopin Des Champs, many racegoers will want to secure their place at the best four days of jumps racing. The good news is they can, as Cheltenham racecourse has already opened their doors for the 2024 Festival.
When Is The 2024 Cheltenham Festival?
The four-day 2024 Cheltenham Festival will be staged between Tuesday 12th March to Friday 15th March.
This means the 2024 Festival will be run slightly earlier, with Gold Cup Day in 2023 run on Friday 17th March.
2023 Crowd Figures at the Cheltenham Festival Down
However, despite the 2024 Cheltenham tickets on sale already many feel there’s no point to panic just yet to book your place.
Why? Well, the crowd figures at the 2023 Festival were down on 2022, with many blaming the cost-of-living crisis amongst many other factors.
In 2023 Cheltenham had reduced their maximum capacity to 68,500 for each day in a bid to improve the racegoers experience and ease congestion. But, the numbers for both the opening day (Tuesday) and the Wednesday fell way below the capped 68,500.
On Tuesday, there were 60,284, which was still down from 68,567 in 2022, while on Wednesday it was an even lower 50,387 (down 14,044 from 2022). This is a 21% decline in numbers on the Wednesday from just a 12-month period
Then on Thursday, it was back up to 62,429, but still 6,000+ short of the maximum allowed. But Friday’s Gold Cup Day saw a sell out with the 68,500 capped limited reached.

2024 Cheltenham Festival Ticket Prices
The opening three days at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival are all priced the same, but things take a hike on Gold Cup Day Friday.
The Best Mate tickets are up from £37 to £53 (up £16), while the Tatts tickets are £70 from £55.
Then, if you are wanting to watch Gold Cup Day in the Club Enclosure it will be £102 for the privilege – £16 more than racegoers on the opening three days.
