2023 Royal Ascot Race Times, Schedule and Running Order

The Royal Ascot 2023 race times sees the big 5-day meeting spreading over Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th June and this year’s meeting will have some added interest.

Firstly, it will be the first Royal Ascot without the Queen in attendance, with King Charles III taking over the racing duties, while it will also be the last Royal Ascot for popular jockey Frankie Dettori as the pocket Italian announced last year this will be his final season in the saddle.

2023 Royal Ascot Gold Cup Betting

Trainer Aidan O’Brien has won the Ascot Gold Cup 8 times over the years, including 12 months ago with Kyprios. This year he’ll be pinning his hopes on Emily Dickinson and Broome, who hold entries at this stage.

However, it’s the Andrew Balding-trained Coltrane and last year’s St Leger and Queen’s Vase winner Eldar Eldarov that are topping the betting at the moment.

Eldar Eldarov returned this season with a close second in the Yorkshire Cup last month and will be trying the much longer trip for the first time. While Coltrane was an easy winner of the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot on his return to the track and is a proven winner on the flat over 2m4f, having won the Ascot Stakes at this fixture last season.
