Southampton were dumped out of the FA Cup in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night and after losing 2-1 to Grimsby, the Saints are now favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season.
It is no secret that Southampton have been the most disappointing side in the Premier League this season and with the Saints rock bottom of the table on just 18 points after 24 games played, they are now the odds on favourite to be relegated this season.

What are Southampton’s Next Five Premier League Games?
- SOUTHAMPTON vs Leicester (Saturday 4th March)
Southampton’s first league game of March see’s Leicester travel to St Mary’s and with the Foxes also struggling in 14th and just three points away from the relegation zone, this game could prove to be a huge one in both team’s season.
- Manchester United vs SOUTHAMPTON (Sunday 12th March)
The Saints face a tough run after Leicester and they begin that run with a trip to Old Trafford on the 12th of March. With United still challenging for the title, this could be a tough one for Southampton who have already lost to the Red Devils 1-0 back in August.
- SOUTHAMPTON vs Brentford (Wednesday 15th March)
Brentford have enjoyed one of their best seasons of recent years this season and are currently one of the most in form teams in the Premier League having not lost in their last 11. The Bees will visit St Mary’s midway through March and will look to continue their good form away from home.
- SOUTHAMPTON vs Tottenham (Saturday 18th March)
Southampton end March with a tricky home game against Spurs, but with Antonio Conte’s side struggling for form recently this could prove to be a huge game in the Saints’ bid for survival.
- West Ham vs SOUTHAMPTON (Sunday 2nd April)
Southampton’s first game of April sees the Saints visit the London Stadium. These two have already met twice this season with the score ending 1-1 in the league, the Saints came out on top in the cup however as they knocked out the Hammers in the FA Cup 5th round.
