ATTILA THE HONEY (system – Brown Jack Handicap, 3yos)
Three-year-olds have a good record in the 2m Brown Jack Handicap, with ten of the 20 qualifiers scoring for a profit of £14.85 to the usual £1 level stake at SP. This year’s two qualifiers – ATTILA THE HONEY and Tactician – both have possibilities, with the former, the biggest price of the pair, preferred. I’ve also bet ALFRED BOUCHER, who has a good record at this time of year.

LOUIS QUATORZE (system – New Bay, second run since gelded, turf)
Progeny of the sire New Bay have a good run on their second after a gelding operation, with the turf runners landing eight of their 29 starts for a profit of £45.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. LOUIS QUATORZE bombed out at Haydock last month, beating only one home at odds of 9-1, but that run would have been needed after a ten-week break and he can take a step forward this evening.

ISLAND BANDIT (system – Time Of Year)
ISLAND BANDIT tends to perform well in the high summer period (June to August), recording form figures of 01011114177 (6-11) for a profit of £160.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. Heather Main’s five-year-old trailed home last of seven at Goodwood on her belated reappearance (June 7th) but that run was no doubt needed and her yard is in better form now.
