Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew bids to end the week on a high with two recommended bets/trades at Cartmel and Wolverhampton on Sunday, June 30th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
CARTMEL JOCKEYS
CHARLOTTE JONES, stable jockey to Jimmy Moffatt, has a fine record at Cartmel, scoring on 28 of her 122 rides (23%) for a profit of £8.46 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 18.33, A/E = 1.53). The Moffatt yard has gone 37 runners and 184 days since a winner but Sky Luna’s narrow second at Cartmel on Friday suggests that the corner might have been turned and a buy of Jones in the Spreadex CARTMEL JOCKEYS market could pay dividends (alternatively combine her mounts in a multiple bet). BABY EVIE (1.30), who failed to complete in two points, is a huge price in the opener but given her new yard’s fine record with stable switchers it’s not inconceivable that she nabs third place and picks up points. WHERE’S BUNNY, another stable switcher, has a far more realistic chance in the 2.00 based on her close-up 20-1 fourth of 16 at Navan when we last saw her, while SECRET SECRET (2.35) was a course winner last summer and will come on for his fifth of 13 here last month on her first outing for 180 days. HURRICANE ALI (3.10) finished a close second here last month on his debut for Moffatt and the cut back in trip from 2m6f to 2m1f could help, while CUZCO DU MATHAN, another previous course winner, will improve for Saturday’s comeback run and can go well in the 2m1.5f handicap chase (4.20).
Recommendation: Buy CHARLOTTE JONES in Cartmel Jockeys
WOLVERHAMPTON 2.45
SOMETHING took a step forward from his debut effort when a 40-1 fourth of 12 in a 1m1f soft-ground Carlisle maiden on June 17th but may have been flattered, as he challenged on the quickest strip of ground down the middle of the track. Jedd O’Keeffe’s three-year-old is priced up as the second favourite for this restricted novice contest on the strength of that run but he’s poorly drawn in stall 11 and could struggle to make the first two or three. Andrew Balding’s WHO’S GLEN, runner-up at Southwell on debut, is likely to prove hard to beat while Ed Walker’s UMBRIA is likely to take a big step forward on her second start. Sell SOMETHING in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose SOMETHING in Wolverhampton 2.45
