Jamie Osborne’s TEN COMMITMENTS has shown promise in three all-weather outings, including when a 25-1 fifth to Fidelius in a 5f restricted novice contest at Chelmsford last time. The three-year-old was walked to post in the first-time hood and blew the start before staying on late, doing second best of those to come from off the pace. Third-placed Dusk Dame won a Catterick maiden next time and the switch to turf shouldn’t be an issue on his handicap debut. Since 2017, Osborne is 25 from 182 with handicap first-timers, for a profit of £140.10 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 14.68, A/E = 1.70).

Progeny of the sire Due Diligence are 13 from 57 when visored (22.8% strike-rate) for a profit of £34.95 to a £1 level stake at SP, with those wearing the headgear for the first time winning four from 12 for a profit of £38.83. DOGGED, who went close in first-time cheekpieces at Beverley a couple of years ago, could go well in this 1m2f handicap now fitted with a visor for the first time.
