Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to the jumps action at Ludlow and Plumpton for his two recommended bets/trades on Sunday, May 12th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
LUDLOW 1.43
PLAYFUL SAINT survived a bad mistake to score over Hexham’s easy fences last time and only faces two rivals in this 2m handicap chase but his shoddy jumping is enough reason to oppose him over Ludlow’s tricky obstacles. Dan Skelton’s nine-year-old would also have preferred slower ground (two of his last three wins have come on officially heavy going) and his previous wins for his current trainer were immediately followed by a defeat. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose PLAYFUL SAINT in Ludlow 1.43
PLUMPTON 3.15
TOOTHLESS heads the betting at around the 2-1 mark for this 2m4f handicap chase but the Paul Nicholls-trained top weight could be worth taking on. The six-year-old won twice from the front over hurdles last year but those wins came over 1m7f-2m and he’s yet to open his account over fences. Throw in a tendency to jump out to his right and competition for the lead from MAGISTRATO and he looks worth selling in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Magistrato is respected after his course and distance second to Somespring Special was franked by the winner at Cheltenham but fixed odds players might want to chance JUST ONE SURF, placed in two point-to-points, and a likely improver now switching to regulation fences for the in-form Warren Greatrex yard.
Recommendation: Oppose TOOTHLESS in Plumpton 3.15
