Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew found Ascot scorer MISS RASCAL on Friday and  three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, May 11th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

HAYDOCK 1.35

BOLD ENDEAVOUR is 3lb higher than when runner-up in this race 12 months ago but is twice the price this time around and last year’s effort can be upgraded on account of him losing a shoe. Nicky Henderson’s eight-year-old could only finish in mid-division at Aintree last month, but today’s race is less competitive, and he’ll love the fast ground. His record in Class 2 or lower company reads 1111P1122326 (6-12), suggesting he’ll be there or thereabouts. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or back him each-way in the fixed odds betting.

Recommendation: Back BOLD ENDEAVOUR in Haydock 1.35

ASCOT 2.05

This 1m Class 2 fillies’ handicap often goes to a runner dropping in grade and the Andrew Balding-trained TOPANGA fits the bill. The daughter of Siyouni was in good form on Kempton’s Polytrack last autumn, going down by a head in second place at 14-1 on her debut before opening her account as the 2-5 favourite. She was only fifth in the Fred Darling (Group 3) at Newbury on her turf/seasonal debut but was very weak in the betting (16-1 from 11-1), met trouble and wouldn’t have appreciated the slow going. Ascot should be more her bag and Hayley Turner has a good record when riding for the Balding yard in handicaps. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back TOPANGA in Ascot 2.05

ASCOT 4.55

WILDFELL was only ninth of 18 in the Spring Mile at Doncaster on his return to turf but pulled hard and raced too close to the early pace on a day that hold-up horses were massively favoured because of the fierce headwind. He started slowly from his poor wide draw at Chelmsford next time, doing well to finish a 12-1 sixth of 14 and looks very interesting now returned to sprinting on a track that should suit. Stall 20 could be advantageous and he’s sure to be putting in good work at the finish. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back WILDFELL in Ascot 4.55
